In der sizilianischen Ortschaft Custonaci befindet sich auf dem Gelände eines Marmorsteinbruchs ein gut erhaltenes Gebäude, dessen weißen Innenwände mit dort deponiertem Altschrott und Tierkot kontrastieren. Die Farbigkeit der Oberflächen verbindet sich auf überrschende Weise mit jener des Steinbruchs.

In the Sicilian village of Custonaci, on the site of a marble quarry, there is a well-preserved building whose white interior walls contrast with waste scrap and animal droppings deposited there. The colorfulness of the surfaces combines in a surprising way with that of the quarry.
